When you think about your life, what feelings and thoughts come up? Worry, criticism, self-doubt, guilt? Do you feel overwhelmed by expectations – either self-imposed or imposed by others? I believe we all do our best, but simply put, life can be hard. We don’t always have the tools we need to get us through the many challenges life throws our way. I’m passionate about helping my clients find skills that work for them, while addressing underlying concerns that may be contributing to difficult emotions.
My areas of expertise include eating disorders, anxiety, shame, perfectionism, stress management, life transitions, and self-acceptance. I take a compassion-based approach looking at patterns & aiding clients in applying real-life solutions to improve overall wellness.
It can be difficult to get things back on track, and even seem impossible at times, but I know that change can and will happen as we work together. With a fresh set of eyes, and the right tools to combat the unrelenting and unrealistic internal chatter, we can catch traction and find forward motion!
My clinical experiences prior to Inside Wellness have include been in working at the Center for Change eating disorder clinic in Orem, Utah as well as the student counseling center at the University of Utah.
